As Still As A Stone Lion

The second publication from a personal study of the social and political landscape of stoke-on-Trent, the place I live, bound by family, past and present.

I park up and walk. Sunday mornings are best. I inhale the city but remaining detached from it. At every turn desperation is palpable with layers of heritage exhausted by neglect and failed attempts at regeneration. I revel in this realism, wandering and collecting parts of that experience - the photographs.

During the development of this study, Stoke-on-Tent, also known as The Potteries,  acquired the new nickname The Brexit capital. This historic movement was not the motivation here but perhaps it influenced what was already a personal and subjective response.
