Edgeland

Stoke-on-Trent, also known as 'The Potteries' was once an household name that spanned the globe widely renowned for its thriving arts and crafts industry. Following heavy de-industrialisation for many years the city has been stuck in a transitional period. Regeneration plans had been repeatedly sidelined with traditional industries remaining in a state of flux. 

These photographs were made during my initial interests in urban wanderings, between 2006/07. They were an attempt to document this landscape in transition and ask the question, what next?
